🌾 Lammas (Lughnasadh) – The First Harvest
August 1

Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh (pronounced LOO-nah-sah), is the first of the three harvest Sabbats. Celebrated when the grain is gathered, it honors the sacred cycle of sowing, reaping, and sharing. This is a time to give thanks for the fruits of your labor — both physical and spiritual — and to prepare for the transition into the darker half of the year with nourishment and intention.
🌾 Suggested Rituals & Activities:
Bake Bread Magic – Craft a loaf of bread and infuse it with gratitude and protection. As it rises and bakes, meditate on what you’ve cultivated this year.
Harvest Offering – Leave a bit of food or flowers outdoors as an offering to the land spirits or ancestors in thanks.
Gratitude Jar Spell – Write down blessings you’ve received on slips of paper and place them in a jar to revisit during Mabon or Samhain.
Wheat or Corn Doll Crafting – Create a traditional harvest figure to place on your altar for abundance and good luck through the fall.
